Update on the Severance Pay Ceiling

The Turkish Ministry of Treasury and Finance has published the “General Circular on Financial and Social Rights” and set the severance pay ceiling amount for the July-December 2025 period at TRY 53,919.68.
Severance pay is calculated based on 30 days’ gross salary (including all payments such as bonuses, premiums, transportation, meal and fuel allowances) for each full year of service, and the maximum severance amount payable for each year is updated every six months.
Accordingly, the severance pay amount per year to be paid to employees whose employment contracts terminate in a manner entitling them to severance pay as of July 2025 shall not exceed TRY 53,919.68.
